A month ago I posted a video of Joy and Matt’s Rock the Dress Session that took place at the Morikami Museum. The sneak peeks are here, and despite the gloomy weather, Joy and Matt looked radiant! We had a blast shooting the session, and Joy and Matt were able to really enjoy themselves during the session. Luckily, we were just finishing the session when the rain decided to visit. With their one year anniversary is coming up in a few short weeks, their session was a great way to celebrate their marriage. Happy Anniversary Joy and Matt!
Welcome to Celia’s Bat Mitzvah. Celia and I have a lot in common…not only does Celia love photography, but she’s also a Nikon lover! I had the distinct pleasure of capturing Celia’s Bat Mitzvah and celebration. Her ceremony was truly beautiful and touching. The reception was a Hawiian Luau theme. Have you ever seen a couple and felt the love they had for each other? That’s Jacqueline and Jay…pure sweetness, pure love. From the moment I first met them, it was easy to see how much they loved each other with every look, touch, and kiss. Before the wedding, we spent some time together scouting out their location for their First Look Session. My experience with them truly made me look forward to capturing their wedding day! Getting to know Corey and Matt (and Junebug) over the past year has been such a treat! Not only are they a cute couple, they have a cute story behind how they got together, and they have a cute dog, Junebug! Junebug came along on their engagement session, so it was absolutely a given that an appearance would be made for the wedding as well. There were so many beautiful details and special touches for Corey’s wedding…you’ll have to check them out in their sneak peeks. I do want you to pay special attention to Corey’s bouquet…which I loved for it’s sheer simplicity. Corey had one bright spot of color in her bouquet…a red poppy. The poppy symbolized Corey’s deceased grandfathers who were both called “Poppy.” The day started out with rain…keeping the First Look under the wraparound porch. As true for all of my brides, the skies cleared up in time for the ceremony, and the reception was a terrific evening outdoor celebration. And while the rain made a brief appearance toward the end of the reception, the festivities kept right on going. Congratulations to Corey and Matt! Hugs to you both!!

Amy and Michael had a beautiful, intimate destination wedding. Their wedding was attended by immediate family, as well as a grandmother that attended via Skype! When we first arrived at the River Palm Cottages & Fish Camp, the weather was very overcast and threatening rain. My brides somehow have a connection somewhere because the sun peeked out from the clouds just as Amy was walking down the aisle! We love shooting small, intimate weddings like Amy and Michael’s. It’s so easy to feel all the love surrounding such a special couple! Congratulations to Amy and Michael!!
